We’ve got some great news to start the week with. A few minutes ago, we launched VikingSpots… for everyone. That means you no longer need an invite code to create your favorite spots on VikingSpots!

So, if you had an invite code and you already created some of your 15 spots, you can still get 150 Viking Points if you finish up and create all your 15 approved spots. For those of you who didn’t get their hands on an invite code: don’t you worry, there will be a lot more ways to earn Viking Points! Just keep an eye on our blog.

These last few weeks we’ve improved VikingSpots a lot, based on your invaluable feedback. Both design and functionality received several updates. The same goes for our iOS and Android applications.

But there’s more good news. We’ve released our API beta to an enthusiastic group of developers. With our new API other services and sites can connect to VikingSpots. We hope to see the first 3rd party VikingSpots initiatives and applications soon. A developer yourself and interested in joining the dev party? Just send us an email!

Wait, there’s even more. You told us you want to create more spots. A lot more spots! And now you can. Every VikingSpots user can now create an unlimited amount of spots. And as of now, you can also create spots that are ‘private’. That means only you and your friends can see these spots.

And how can everyone earn Viking Points? When a professional claims a spot you created and upgrades it to a Premium Official Spot, you get 150 Viking Points. Imagine what happens if three of your spots get claimed as Premium Official Spots. Or four. Or five. Sounds good, right?
